Visit a typical Cape Cod Bay habitat on a walk around Drummer Boy Park and out to Wing Island. Enjoy the panoramic views of the Brewster flats at low tide. 

Meet 10:45 am to check-in and stretch. We’ll begin walking promptly at 11:00. Hosted by Ellie Devlin with Sweep TBD.

Prerequisite: Instructional clinic and ability to walk 3+ miles at a steady, moderate pace over a variety of terrain
Distance: 2.8 miles with the option of adding the John & Kristi Hay 0.7 mi Trail
Pace: 22 min miles. Moderate, with periodic stops for water & the opportunity to appreciate the view. Perfect for those who want to increase their distance between brief stops.
Terrain: Pavement (tips required), wooded/leaves & pine needles, wooden planks that could be a little wet, some soft sand on the Brewster flats & the beach at low tide, & stairs.

We will walk from Drummer Boy Park to Wing Island.  After crossing a small dune, we’ll walk to Paines Creek and back via Quivett Creek before returning DBP. Those who are interested in continuing to the John & Kristi Hay Trail will cross the street to the 0.6 mi wooded trail.

For Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when booking a walk. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety, if you arrive without water, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weather and protect yourself from the elements. Choose appropriate footwear for trail conditions. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks, which are active year-round. Wear blaze orange for visibility and safety during hunting season.

Limit 1 walk per day

• Rubber tips required.
• No restrooms or water available. Bring tissue in a plastic bag in case of a bio break need.

• If your plans change, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walkers may join.
