Hey! Let’s see if we can catch our first 2026 Sunset on the Brewster flats!

Meet at 6:00PM for sign-in and stretching to begin walking promptly at 6:15PM Hosted by Leslie Kalinowski with Sweep Mike Kalinowski

—Prerequisite: Instructional Clinic, At lease one beginner walk AND the Ability to walk 2 miles over varied terrain and a small amount of soft sand. Please read the walk description below carefully.

—Distance: 2 miles. No turn-back or shorter option.

—Pace: Moderate 23-26 minute miles. Rest stops approx .5-.75 mile intervals

—Terrain: Sand firm, soft (approx 1/8 mile) and hard packed. We will cross over 2 lower sand dunes.

We will walk at low tide from Linnell landing to Crosby Landing beach. We will then tuck behind the dunes and walk a hard packed trail along Namskaket Marsh to Namskaket Creek.

For Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when booking a walk. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety, if you arrive without water, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weather and protect yourself from the elements.  Choose appropriate footwear for trail conditions. We may brush up against some vegetation. Long pants are recommended. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks, which are active year-round.Please be mindful, poison ivy has been noted on many trails, consider precautions.

—Limit 1 walk per day

—Wear your CCNW ID badge.

— Rubber tips are recommended or sand baskets may be useful if you use them.

— No Bathroom or water facilities are available. Bring tissue in a plastic bag in case of a bio break need.

—If your plans change, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walkers may join.

Walk may be canceled, changed, or rescheduled for weather or other reasons. Cancellation decision will be made at least 2 hours in advance. Check your email (including spam) before driving to the walk. If a walk is canceled, registrants will receive a system-generated email and the walk will no longer be visible in the event listing or on the calendar.

Directions:  From Route 6A Brewster, take Linnell Landing road to the end and park at the beach lot. Linnell Landing road is diagonally across from Cobies icecream/restaurant.
