Let’s enjoy an evening walking at Fort Hill. We will start on the boardwalk of the Red Maple Swamp, then walk the wooded/sand path by the fields, an old sea Captains home, a stunning overlook and much more! Lots of beauty and good ole Cape Cod history at Fort Hill!

Meet at 6:15 PM for sign-in and stretching to begin walking promptly at 6:30 PM Hosted by Leslie Kalinowski with Sweep Mike Kalinowski.

—Prerequisite: Completed CCNW Instructional clinic. The ability to walk 1.8 miles on a varied terrain, see description below.

—Distance: 1.8 miles No turn-back or shorter option.
—Pace: Slower to Moderate
—Terrain: Boardwalk, wooded/dirt trail, several wooden steps, a few small-moderate hills.

For Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when making your RSVP decision. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety, if you arrive without water, you will not be allowed to walk. Suggest using bug spray/repellent to protect yourself from evening bugs and from ticks, which are active year-round. Please be mindful/take precautions: Poison Ivy has been seen on many trails.

—Limit 1 walk per day—Wear your CCNW ID badge.
—  Rubber tips and footwear for varied terrain recommended.
—Restrooms are available. Bring tissue in a plastic bag in case of a bio break need.

—If your plans change, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walkers may join.

Walk may be canceled, changed, or rescheduled for weather or other reasons. Cancellation decision will be made at least 2 hours in advance.  Check your email (including spam) AND this walk listing and comments, below, before driving to the walk. ** If a walk is canceled, registrants will receive a system-generated email, and the walk will no longer be visible in the event listing or on the calendar.

 This walk is authorized under a National Park Service Special Use Permit 

Directions: Route 6 to Hemenway Road in Eastham. Continue on Hemenway road to Hemenway landing. 

Please note: After hours parking is permitted in the Hemenway landing parking lot and along the road on the north side. If needed, Please park entirely off the road.
