Up for a Thursday morning moderate to brisk walk with beautiful views of the Bass River along this wooded trail?
Meet at 8:00 for stretching to begin walking promptly at 8:15. Hosted by Ellie Devlin with Sweep TBD.
—Prerequisite: Instructional Clinic and the ability to walk at a steady, moderate-fast pace for 3.5 miles
—Distance: 3.5 miles. No turn-back or shorter option.
—Pace: steady moderate on trails; moderate-fast on bike trail; short water breaks
—Terrain: wooded trails with exposed roots & pine needles, limited soft sand and asphalt
For Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when booking a walk. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety, if you arrive without water, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weather and protect yourself from the elements. Choose appropriate footwear for trail conditions. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks, which are active year-round.
We’ll walk wooded trails adjacent to the Rail Trail, then join the Rail Trail at the bridge. In order to get a full 3.5 miles, we’ll cross the bridge and walk at a faster pace for 3/4 mile & work on our Nordic technique. On our return trip, we’ll include 2 scenic loops adjacent to the Bass River.

— Porta potty available in the parking lot. Bring tissue in a plastic bag in case of a bio break need.
— If your plans change, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walkers may join.
Walk may be canceled, changed, or rescheduled for weather or other reasons. Cancellation decision will be made at least 2 hours in advance. Check your email (including spam) before driving to the walk. If a walk is canceled, registrants will receive a system-generated email and the walk will no longer be visible in the event listing or on the calendar.
Directions: This trail is off the Dennis Rail Trail Parking lot located on Main Street next to the Old South Dennis Cemetery at 485 Main Street, So Dennis 02660. (Do not put Dennis Rail Trail into your GPS as you’ll end up on Rt 134.
