A beautiful walk along Nantucket Sound on the ‘elbow’ of the Cape. Historic Stage Harbor Lighthouse, views of Monomoy and Morris Island. Walk is at mid tide with an outgoing tide. (Low tide is 12:37 pm) We will pass plover nesting areas.
Meet at 8:30 am to sign in and stretch. We’ll begin walking promptly at 8:45 am. Hosted by Anne Dickson with Sweep TBD. Please read to the bottom for directions to our meeting point.
—Prerequisite: Instructional Clinic and 2 CCNW walks with ability to beach walk the distance.
—Distance: 2.5 mi. No turn-back or shorter option.
—Pace: Moderate with stops along the way.
—Terrain: Flat beach with mixed sand of soft and packed. Asphalt causeway at the end.
For Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when booking a walk. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety, if you arrive without water, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weather and protect yourself from the elements. Choose appropriate footwear for trail conditions. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks, which are active year-round.

DIRECTIONS: 385 Hardings Beach Rd. off Barn Hill Rd. in Chatham. Pull into lot past entrance hut and park on far left side facing beach. NO BEACH STICKER or fee needed before 9 am and you will not be charged leaving after walk.
