DESCRIPTION:A beautiful walk along Nantucket Sound on the ‘elbow’ of th
 e Cape. Historic Stage Harbor Lighthouse\, views of Monomoy and Morris Isl
 and. Walk is at mid tide with an outgoing tide. (Low tide is 12:37 pm) We 
 will pass plover nesting areas. \nMeet at 8:30 am to sign in and stretch.
  We’ll begin walking promptly at 8:45 am. Hosted by Anne Dickson with Sw
 eep TBD. Please read to the bottom for directions to our meeting point.\n
 —Prerequisite: Instructional Clinic and 2 CCNW walks with ability to bea
 ch walk the distance.\n—Distance: 2.5 mi. No turn-back or shorter option
 .\n—Pace: Moderate with stops along the way.\n—Terrain: Flat beach wit
 h mixed sand of soft and packed. Asphalt causeway at the end.\nFor Your Sa
 fety: Consider the weather forecast when booking a walk. WATER MUST BE CAR
 RIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety\, if you 
 arrive without water\, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weat
 her and protect yourself from the elements. Choose appropriate footwear fo
 r trail conditions. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks\, which a
 re active year-round.\n—Limit 1 walk per day.\n—Wear your CCNW ID badg
 e.\n— Full sun exposure\, sun block\,  sunglasses\, rubber tips\, sand 
 baskets are optional.\n—Restrooms and water are available at start and e
 nd of walk. Bring tissue in a plastic bag in case of a bio break need.\n
 —If your plans change\, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in 
 advance of walk start time so other walkers may\nWalk may be canceled\, ch
 anged\, or rescheduled for weather or other reasons. Cancellation decision
  will be made at least 2 hours in advance. **Check your email (including s
 pam) AND this walk listing before driving to the walk. ** If a walk is can
 celed\, registrants will receive a system-generated email\, and the walk w
 ill no longer be visible in the event listing or on the calendar.\n\nDIREC
 TIONS: 385 Hardings Beach Rd. off Barn Hill Rd. in Chatham. Pull into lot 
 past entrance hut and park on far left side facing beach. NO BEACH STICKER
  or fee needed before 9 am and you will not be charged leaving after walk.
