Come on down to Eastham for a late day, low tide adventure on the ocean beaches! We’ll start at Nauset Light Beach, home to the iconic lighthouse, then walk along the eroded cliffs toward marsh-backed Coast Guard Beach and the inlet that separates Coast Guard from the upper reaches of Nauset Beach.
Meet at 5:15 PM to sign in and stretch. We’ll begin walking promptly at 5:30 PM. Hosted by Dorrie Scipione Ross with Sweep TBD. Please read to the bottom for directions to our meeting point.
—Prerequisite: Instructional Clinic and the ability to walk 4 miles on mostly packed sand
—Distance: 4-4.5 miles. No turn-back or shorter option.
—Pace: Moderate and steady with a few stops for water and to enjoy the surroundings
—Terrain: Mostly packed sand, some flat sections, some inclined sections of beach
For Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when booking a walk. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety, if you arrive without water, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weather and protect yourself from the elements. Choose appropriate footwear for trail conditions. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks, which are active year-round.

—If your plans change, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walkers may join.
This walk is authorized under a National Park Service Special Use Permit.

Directions: Take Route 6 to Eastham. Turn onto Nauset Road (the Visitor Center will be on your right), which turns into Doane Road. Drive to the end of Doane, then turn left onto Ocean View Drive. Take Ocean View Drive to the end and then turn right into the Nauset Light Beach parking lot.
