DESCRIPTION:Come on down to Eastham for a late day\, low tide adventure on 
 the ocean beaches! We'll start at Nauset Light Beach\, home to the iconic 
 lighthouse\, then walk along the eroded cliffs toward marsh-backed Coast G
 uard Beach and the inlet that separates Coast Guard from the upper reaches
  of Nauset Beach.\n\nMeet at 5:15 PM to sign in and stretch. We’ll begin
  walking promptly at 5:30 PM. Hosted by Dorrie Scipione Ross with Sweep TB
 D. Please read to the bottom for directions to our meeting point.\n—Prer
 equisite: Instructional Clinic and the ability to walk 4 miles on mostly p
 acked sand\n—Distance: 4-4.5 miles. No turn-back or shorter option.\n—
 Pace: Moderate and steady with a few stops for water and to enjoy the surr
 oundings\n—Terrain: Mostly packed sand\, some flat sections\, some incli
 ned sections of beach\n\nFor Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast wh
 en booking a walk. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of
  personal and group safety\, if you arrive without water\, you will not be
  allowed to walk. Dress for the weather and protect yourself from the elem
 ents. Choose appropriate footwear for trail conditions. Use repellent to p
 rotect yourself from ticks\, which are active year-round.\n\n—Limit 1 wa
 lk per day.\n—Wear your CCNW ID badge.\n—Rubber tips suggested\, sand 
 baskets optional\n—Restrooms and water are available.\n—If your plans 
 change\, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk s
 tart time so other walkers may join.\n\nThis walk is authorized under a Na
 tional Park Service Special Use Permit.\n\nWalk may be canceled\, changed\
 , or rescheduled for weather or other reasons. Cancellation decision will 
 be made at least 2 hours in advance. **Check your email (including spam) A
 ND this walk listing before driving to the walk. ** If a walk is canceled
 \, registrants will receive a system-generated email\, and the walk will n
 o longer be visible in the event listing or on the calendar.\n\nDirections
 : Take Route 6 to Eastham. Turn onto Nauset Road (the Visitor Center will 
 be on your right)\, which turns into Doane Road. Drive to the end of Doane
 \, then turn left onto Ocean View Drive. Take Ocean View Drive to the end 
 and then turn right into the Nauset Light Beach parking lot.
