We love Cook’s Farm in spring, with its beautiful pond views, wildflowers and rhododendrons in bloom, songbirds, and clues to Sandwich’s farming and textile industry past.
Meet at 9:15 to sign-in and stretch. We’ll begin walking promptly at 9:30. Hosted by Sue Moynihan with Sweep TBD. Read to the bottom for directions to our meeting point.
Prerequisite: Instructional clinic
Distance: ~1.8 miles. No shorter or turn-back option.
Pace: Slow to moderate, with several stops to enjoy the view
Terrain: Hard-packed dirt, gravel, some roots and rocks. Mostly level.
For Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when booking a walk. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety, if you arrive without water, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weather and protect yourself from the elements. Choose appropriate footwear for trail conditions. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks, which are active year-round.

- Restrooms and water are not available. Bring tissue in a plastic bag in case of a bio break need.
- If your plans change, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walkers may join.
Walk may be canceled, changed, or rescheduled for weather or other reasons. Meeting place: Meet near the fields BEHIND the old Henry T. Wing School, 33 Water Street, Sandwich
Directions: Rt. 6 to exit 59 in Sandwich. Take Water Street to Morse. Turn onto Morse. The fields and parking lot are on your left. We will walk together to the trail. Coords: 41.75113° N, 70.49537° W
