Join me for a peaceful walk at the brand new Parker’s River Landing, built on the site of the former drive-in theater, featuring an elevated boardwalk with salt marsh views, a playground, a kayak launch, and a large event space for festivals and concerts. The project, over 10 years in the making, emphasizes coastal resilience with features like a flood-barrier bathhouse and restored natural habitats. We’ll even stroll by the boardwalk plank labeled Cape Cod Nordic Walking!

Meet at 9:15 AM to sign in and stretch. We’ll begin walking promptly at 9:30 AM. Hosted by Brenda Brown with Sweep Maureen Mcgaffigan.

—Prerequisite: Instructional Clinic

—Distance: Your choice, do a 1 mile lap around the green and boardwalk, 2 miles, or all 3.

—Pace: leisurely, to enjoy the beauty of this location.

—Terrain: flat, paved, compressed gravel, and boardwalk.

For Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when booking a walk. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety, if you arrive without water, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weather and protect yourself from the elements. Choose appropriate footwear for trail conditions. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks, which are active year-round.
