For Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when making your RSVP decision. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety, if you arrive without water, you will not be allowed to walk. Take precautions against the sun, such as sunscreen and a hat. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks, which are active year round. Wear blaze orange for safety during hunting season.

Meet at 8:45 for sign-in and stretching to begin walking promptly at 9:00. Hosted by Barbie Liftman with Sweep TBD.

Prerequisites:

> A MAY Birthday (walk will open to all if/when it does not fill)
> Ability to walk at a moderate, sustained pace with few breaks.

Distance: +/- 3.1 miles. Must commit to the entire route. No turnback or shorter options. Distance and end time are approximate so please plan accordingly.

Pace: Moderate pace with few breaks.

Terrain: Level, wooded trails and bike path. Rubber tips for paved surface.

We will celebrate May birthdays with this 3.1 mile walk that explores wooded conservation lands. We’ll visit the Hacker Wildlife Sanctuary and Island Pond Conservation Area, with a stop at the Lavender Farm Store, followed by a sweet Birthday treat after the walk.

NOTE: This booking DOES NOT count towards the allowed 3 bookings per week (Sunday to Saturday)!

– Limit 1 booking per day and 3 bookings per week (Sunday to Saturday) to give others the chance to walk. If you are already holding 3 bookings for the week of this walk, please do not sign up.

– Please wear your CCNW ID badge

– Water not available. No restrooms. Bring tissues in a bag for a bio break.

– If your plans change, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walkers may join.

Walk may be canceled, changed, or rescheduled for weather or other reasons. Cancellation decision will be made at least 2 hours in advance. Check this event for last-minute notifications before heading out.

DIRECTIONS: Exit 82 to Rte 124 S. to the end. Left on Rte 39. Park at the Harwich Town Hall toward the back.
