Walk with us from Atlantic Street Beach to Wychmere Harbor – a hidden gem of coastal Cape Cod!

Meet at 3:45 pm [15 minutes prior to walk time] for sign-in and stretching to begin walking promptly at 4:00pm.

Hosted by: Carla Fogaren with sweep TBD.

Prerequisite: Instructional clinic and physical ability to do the pace, length and varied terrain described.

Distance:  3 ½ miles. No turn-back or shorter option.

Pace: Slower on hills ,moderate pace on flat areas

Terrain: A combination of short segment on street to hard packed low tide beach with small section of softer sand, some stairs to overlook.

For Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when booking a walk. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety, if you arrive without water, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weather and protect yourself from the elements. Choose appropriate footwear for trail conditions. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks, which are active year-round

👣 3.5 miles of hard-packed sand (low tide friendly!) lead you along the shoreline with stunning Atlantic views, through the heart of Harwich Port’s historic charm, and up to a little-known overlook that feels like your own private lookout over Wychmere.

🎟️ This walk is open to those who have not yet experienced this specific route.
If spots remain, we’ll open it to additional walkers ( will post in comment section)—so don’t delay!

-Limit 1 walk per day and 3 bookings per week (Sunday to Saturday) to give others the chance to walk. If you are already holding 3 bookings for the week of this walk, please do not sign up.

-Perfect opportunity to do the Harwichport Music Stroll after the walk if you wish to.

– 🚻 Restrooms available at beginning of walk at the Dunkin Donuts and mid point at Bank St Beach. Water not available.

-If your plans change, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walkers may join.

-Walk may be canceled, changed, or rescheduled for weather or other reasons. Cancellation decision will be made at least 2 hours in advance. Check your email for last-minute notifications before heading out.

• From Route 28:
  Head into downtown Harwich Port. Post Office Square is situated between the Harwich Port Post Office and the CVS Pharmacy.
• From Route 39:
  Travel south on Route 39 until it intersects with Route 28. Turn onto Route 28 and proceed into downtown Harwich Port to reach Post Office Square.

Parking is available with permission from the Post Office. Please park in the designated area:

• To the right of the Post Office (when facing the building)
• To the left of the CVS Pharmacy
