Kent’s Point-Orleans
For Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when making your RSVP decision. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety, if you arrive without water, you will not be allowed to walk. Take precautions against the sun, such as sunscreen and a hat. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks, which are active year-round.
Meet at 3 :30 pm for sign-in and stretching to begin walk promptly at 3:45 pm.

Prerequisite: Instructional clinic and physical ability to do the pace, length and varied terrain described.
Distance: 1.5 miles
Pace: Slow
Terrain: A combination of well-worn paths (with roots, rocks, small hills), some beach area with mostly packed sand.

Tucked away at the edge of Orleans lies Kent’s Point, a true Cape Cod treasure where forest paths meet ocean breezes and history whispers through the trees.
✨ Meandering trails guide you through a peaceful coastal forest
🌳 A variety of native trees line the way
🦅 Birdsong accompanies your steps — keep an eye out for osprey, egrets, and hawks
🌊 The trail opens up to breathtaking views of Pleasant Bay
🐕 Kent’s Point is dog-friendly!
-Limit 1 walk per day a
-Wear your CCNW ID badge.
-Restrooms and water are not available. Bring tissue in a plastic bag for a bio break.
-If your plans change, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walkers may join.
-Walk may be canceled, changed, or rescheduled for weather or other reasons. Cancellation decision will be made at least 2 hours in advance. Check your email for last-minute notifications before heading out.
Directions:
- From Orleans Center, head east on Main Street towards Nauset Beach.
- Turn right onto Monument Road.
- After approximately half a mile, turn left onto Frost Fish Lane.
- Follow Frost Fish Lane to its end, where you’ll find the parking area for Kent’s Point. (Orleans Conservation Trust, Orleans Conservation Trust)
Please note that Frost Fish Lane is unpaved, so drive cautiously.
