Immerse yourself in the beauty of our historic arboretum and stroll through a picturesque cemetery steeped in revolutionary history, followed by a scenic walk through a lavender farm in peak bloom! Savor refreshing lavender lemonade and discover a couple of delightful surprises along the way to make this experience truly special. Meet at 9:45 am [15 minutes prior to walk time] for sign-in and stretching to begin walking promptly at 10:00 am.

Prerequisite: Instructional clinic and physical ability to do the pace, length and varied terrain described.
Distance: a little over 2 miles. No turn-back or shorter options available.
Pace: Slow
Terrain: Short segment of sandy trail, less than a tenth of a mile on the rail trail and a short segment on pavement around Island Pond Cemetery, mostly wide trails with some pine needles and occasional roots.
For Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when booking a walk. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety, if you arrive without water, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weather and protect yourself from the elements. Choose appropriate footwear for trail conditions. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks, which are active year-round.

Explore the meticulously maintained natural species by the Town of Harwich while soaking up the rich history nestled within the iconic Island Pond Cemetery—where internments date back to the American Revolutionary era!
Afterward, join us for a delightful stroll to the Lavender Farm, where they are celebrating 30 amazing years of being family-owned! Located in the heart of 11 secluded acres, we’ll sit back, enjoy the beauty, and sip on refreshing lavender lemonade. Plus, there will be a couple of special souvenirs to take home!

—If your plans change, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walkers may join.
Walk may be canceled, changed, or rescheduled for weather or other reasons. Cancellation decision will be made at least 2 hours in advance. Check your email (including spam) before driving to the walk. If a walk is canceled, registrants will receive a system-generated email, and the walk will no longer be visible in the event listing or on the calendar.
🚗 Parking: Please DO NOT PARK at the Lavender Farm. I will have my car there should you wish to purchase anything and I will transport it back to parking lot. Parking available behind the First Congregational Church at 697 Main St, Harwich. Entrance to parking lot right across from the On the Trail E-Bike rentals at 1 Old Colony Rd, Harwich We will start the walk from there.
