Late-day lighting and sweeping views from Provincetown to the South Shore await on this at-your-own-pace walk on the Brewster flats at low tide. After the walk, we’ll enjoy a warm drink and a Yankee book swap (optional). If you wish, bring a wrapped, gently used or inexpensive new book. Include a label with a teaser about the genre, setting  or plot (but not the title). In Yankee swap style, there may be some surprises, swaps, & steals. 

Meet at 1:15 pm to sign in and stretch. We’ll begin walking promptly at 1:30. Hosted by Sue Moynihan with Sweep TBD. Read to the bottom for directions to our meeting point.

Distance: 2-3 miles
Pace: You choose
Terrain: 1 mile in the woods on hard pack trail with short hills, and 1-2 miles on a combo of packed and loose sand at low tide.

For Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when booking a walk. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety, if you arrive without water, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weather and protect yourself from the elements. Choose appropriate footwear for trail conditions. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks, which are active year-round. **Wear blaze orange for visibility and safety during hunting season.**

• Limit 1 walk per day.
• Wear your CCNW ID badge.
• Shoes will likely get a little wet along the tide line.
• No restrooms or water. Bring tissue in a plastic bag in the event of a bio break need.
• If your plans change, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walkers may join.

Walk may be canceled, changed, or rescheduled for weather or other reasons. Directions: 3171 Main Street (Route 6A) in Brewster. Located between Linnell Landing Road and Brewster’s First Light Beach (formerly Cape Cod Sea Camps). There is no signage along Rt. 6A/Main Street. Turn up the driveway and past the Cape-style white house with green shutters.
