Fort Hill is a perfect beginner walk for new members. Enjoy the beautiful views of the Nauset Marsh and the ocean beyond as we hike this favorite trail.

Meet at 12:45 for sign-in and stretching to begin walking promptly at 1:00. Hosted by Bernadette Lyons with Sweep Kathe McDonough.

—Prerequisite: Instructional Clinic and the ability to walk almost 2 miles

—Distance: 1.8 miles with an optional faster second loop for a total of 3.6 miles. No turn-back or shorter option.

—Pace: Slow to moderate pace for our first loop; faster for the second loop.

—Terrain: hard-packed dirt path with roots, steps, elevation gain, and some asphalt. Rubber tips for the boardwalk.

For Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when booking a walk. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety, if you arrive without water, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weather and protect yourself from the elements. Choose appropriate footwear for trail conditions. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks, which are active year-round.

—If your plans change, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walkers may join.
