Walk the lovely wooded trails that loop through Indian Conservation Lands in Dennis. Lots of water and wildlife views.
Meet at 2:15pm for stretching to begin walking promptly at 2:30pm. Hosted by Melinda Maryniuk with Sweep TBD.
—Prerequisite: Instructional Clinic and the ability to walk at a steady, moderate-fast pace for 3 miles
—Distance: 3 miles. No turn-back or shorter option.
—Pace: Steady / moderate on trails; short water breaks
—Terrain: wooded trails with exposed roots & pine needles, limited soft sand
For Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when booking a walk. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety, if you arrive without water, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weather and protect yourself from the elements. Choose appropriate footwear for trail conditions. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks, which are active year-round.
—Limit 1 walk per day.
—Wear your CCNW ID badge.
—Porta potty available in the parking lot. (May not be available in winter)
—If your plans change, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walkers may join.
Walk may be canceled, changed, or rescheduled for weather or other reasons. Cancellation decision will be made at least 2 hours in advance. Check your email (including spam) before driving to the walk. If a walk is canceled, registrants will receive a system-generated email and the walk will no longer be visible in the event listing or on the calendar.
Directions: This trail is off the Dennis Rail Trail Parking lot located on Main Street next to the Old South Dennis Cemetery at 485 Main Street, So Dennis 02660. (Do not put Dennis Rail Trail into your GPS as you’ll end up on Rt 134.


When I posted the walk – the weather looked fine. Sunday is now predicted to be rainy. I’ll make the decision by 10am on Sunday whether or not to cancel. I’m not a big fan of rain walks…. so I’ll reschedule if it really is rainy. Thanks.
