Sole Mates Winter Walking starts Monday January 5, 2026!
Great news — Monomoy High School in Harwich has once again generously opened their track to Cape Cod Nordic Walking starting Monday, January 5!
Mondays & Wednesdays, 5:00–7:00 PM
Monomoy High School – 75 Oak St, Harwich, MA
Track is on the left side of the high school
—No registration required.
—Come for the full two hours or just pop in for a quick half-hour stroll — whatever your legs (and motivation) are feeling that day.
—The lights come on at 5 PM and go off promptlyat 7 PM — so think “Cinderella, but with poles.”
This is a fantastic winter option, especially for those who work during the day. And yes — it’s open to the public! No CCNW membership required, so bring a friend, a neighbor, or that person who keeps saying they should exercise more.
A few friendly reminders:
• Participation is at your own risk
• This is a show-up-and-start-walking program
• Please use good judgment in icy or snowy conditions
• If you use poles, rubber tips only to protect the track
