We will walk in the woods and then will walk along the Bass River for some lovely views.

Meet at 10:15 AM for sign-in and stretching to begin walking promptly at 10:30 AM. Hosted by Nancy Strianese with Sweep TBD.

—Prerequisite: Instructional clinic. Have walked CCNW walks of 2 miles.

—Distance: 2.5 miles. No turn-back or shorter option.

—Pace: Slow to moderate with occasional stops for water and to enjoy the scenery.

—Terrain: Hard-packed dirt with many exposed roots, brush and rocks; short stretch of sand.

For Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when making your RSVP decision. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety, if you arrive without water, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weather and choose appropriate footwear for trail conditions. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks, which are active year-round.

—Limit 1 walk per day and 3 RSVPs per week (Sunday to Saturday) to give others the chance to walk. If you are already holding 3 RSVPs for the week of this walk, please do not sign up.

—Wear your CCNW ID badge.

—Porta potty is available and water is not available. Bring tissue in a plastic bag for a bio break.

—If your plans change, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walkers may join.

Walk may be cancelled, changed or rescheduled for weather or other reasons. Cancellation decision will be made at least 2 hours in advance. Check your email (including spam) before driving to the walk. If a walk is canceled, registrants will receive a system-generated email and the walk will no longer be visible in the event listing or on the calendar.

Directions: This trail is next to the Dennis Rail Trail Parking (you will see a big sign for the Rail Trail once in the parking lot and this is where we will meet) and uses that parking lot. The parking lot is on Main Street next to the Old South Dennis Cemetery at 485 Main Street, South Dennis, MA 02660. Do not put the Dennis Rail Trail into your GPS because it often brings you to a location on Rte. 134 – we are NOT on Rte 134.

Even if you put 485 Main Street South Dennis into GPS it often brings you to the wrong place, even different towns. If you are having problems google Red Cottage Restaurant. They are on Old Bass River Rd in South Dennis. Exit their parking lot and take a left and go .3 miles and parking lot will be on your right. NOTE: Old Bass River Rd. feeds into Main St.
