DESCRIPTION:Discover the beauty of the Marceline Arboretum\, Cape Cod's onl
 y registered natural species arboretum and some historical grave sites at 
 the Island Pond Cemetery followed by a walk to the Lavender Farm\, where w
 e will meet up with Carla's group of walkers for some refreshing lavender 
 lemonade.\nMeet at 9:15 am [15 minutes prior to walk time] for sign-in and
  stretching to begin walking promptly at 9:30 am.\n\nHosted by: Brenda Bro
 wn with sweep TBD.\n\nPrerequisite: Instructional clinic and physical abil
 ity to do the pace\, length and varied terrain described.\n\nDistance: a l
 ittle under 4 miles No turn-back or shorter options available.\n\nPace: Mo
 derate\n\nTerrain: Starting off with pavement from parking lot to bike pat
 h\, short segment of sandy trail\, less than a tenth of a mile on the rail
  trail and a short segment on pavement around Island Pond Cemetery\, mostl
 y wide trails with some pine needles and occasional roots.\n\nFor Your Saf
 ety: Consider the weather forecast when booking a walk. WATER MUST BE CARR
 IED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety\, if you a
 rrive without water\, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weath
 er and protect yourself from the elements. Choose appropriate footwear for
  trail conditions. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks\, which ar

 fterward\, join us for a delightful stroll to the Lavender Farm\, where th
 ey are celebrating 30 amazing years of being family-owned!  Located in t
 he heart of 11 secluded acres\, we’ll sit back\, enjoy the beauty\, and 
 sip on refreshing lavender lemonade.\n\n—Limit 1 walk per day\n\nWalk ma
 y be canceled\, changed\, or rescheduled for weather or other reasons. Can
 cellation decision will be made at least 2 hours in advance. Check your em
 ail (including spam) before driving to the walk. If a walk is canceled\, r
 egistrants will receive a system-generated email\, and the walk will no lo
 nger be visible in the event listing or on the calendar.\n\n🚗 Parking:
  Please DO NOT PARK at the Lavender Farm.  Carla will have her car there 
 should you wish to purchase anything and will transport it back to parking
  lot. Parking available at the Brooks Library\, 739 Main St. Harwich.  We
  will start the walk from there.\n\n
