DESCRIPTION:🇺🇸 🎆 Join us for this special evening event celebratin
 g America’s 250th—a live performance by a two-piece fife and drum ense
 mble and a talk about the vital role of the fife and drum corps during the
  American Revolution. We’ll walk 1.5 miles along the bike path and quiet
  road to the Highland House Museum and we’ll return via a short stretch 
 of beach\, keeping an eye out  for curious seals in the surf. The perform
 ance is from 6-7 pm and is hosted by the Truro Historical Society. \nImpo
 rtant notes:\n\n 	Tickets have been purchased for $10 each\, a donation to
  Truro Historical Society. Once you book your spot\, please Venmo $10 to @
 Sue-Moynihan\, or PayPal to Susan Moynihan\, or send a check to 95 Joshuas
  Way\, Eastham 02642. Indicate in comments\, below\, that you have paid\, 
 so I will look for it.\n 	Program is rain or shine. If the weather’s inc
 lement\, we’ll skip the walk and meet at the Museum.\n 	No refund\, unl

 mfortable walking in low light/near darkness at walk’s end.\n 	Please do
  not arrive at Head of the Meadow Beach before 4:35 as fees are collected 
 at this beach until 4:30.\n 	I will have some snacks for us to enjoy befor
 e/after the performance. Feel free to bring your own as well.\n\nMeet at 4
 :35 to sign in and stretch. We’ll  begin walking promptly at 4:45. Host

 r meeting point. \nPrerequisite: Instructional Clinic\, ability to walk 3 
 miles including some sand\, and comfortable walking in low light\nDistance
 : ~3.2 miles\nPace: Variable—Steady on the way to the Museum to arrive o
 n time and get seated\, a little slower and with view stops on the return.
 \nTerrain: ~.7 miles on beach with soft sand and ~2.5 miles on paved bike 
 path and road edge. Gradual\, but steady incline for the first 1.5 miles. 
 \nFor Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when booking a walk. WATE
 R MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group saf
 ety\, if you arrive without water\, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress
  for the weather and protect yourself from the elements. Choose appropriat
 e footwear for trail conditions. Use repellent to protect yourself from ti
 cks\, which are active year-round.\n\n\n 	Limit 1 walk per day.\n 	Wear yo
 ur CCNW ID badge.\n 	Restrooms and water at trailhead and museum\n 	Rubber
  tips required.\n 	Carry bug spray. \n 	Sand or mud baskets helpful for be
 ach segment.\n 	If your plans change\, kindly cancel your booking at least
  24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walkers may join.\n\nThis
  walk is authorized under a National Park Service Special Use Permit.\nWal
 k may be canceled\, changed\, or rescheduled for weather or other reasons.
