DESCRIPTION:A spectacular shoreline walk along Nantucket Sound at Harding
 ’s Beach\, timed near low tide for firm sand\, sweeping views of Monomoy
  and Morris Island. We will walk out and around historic Stage Harbor Ligh
 thouse and adventure out to Oyster River.  As the tide slips away\, the C
 ape opens around you in every direction—ocean\, dunes\, lighthouse\, and
  sky—creating one of Chatham’s most beautiful and peaceful beach walks
 .\n\nMeet at 7:45 am to sign-in and stretch. We’ll begin walking promptl
 y at 8:00 am. Hosted by Sue Austin with Sweep TBD.  Please read to bottom
  for directions to our meeting point.\n\n—Prerequisite: Instructional Cl
 inic\, 2+ CCNW walks\, and ability to COMFORTABLY beach walk the distance.
 \n—Distance:2.5miles. No turn-back or shorter option.\n—Pace: moderate
  with some stops along the way for water\, pictures\, and a good story.\n
 —Terrain: mixed: some soft\, but mostly hard packed sand.\n\nFor Your Sa
 fety: Consider the weather forecast when booking a walk. WATER MUST BE CAR
 RIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety\, if you 
 arrive without water\, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weat
 her and protect yourself from the elements. Choose appropriate footwear fo
 r trail conditions. Take precautions against the sun\, such as sunscreen a
 nd a hat. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks\, which are active 
 year-round.\n\nWe will walk out and back along the beach on Nantucket Soun
 d to Stage Harbor Channel.\n\n—Limit 1 walk per day.\n—Wear your CCNW 
 ID badge.\n— Rubber tips\, sand baskets optional. Open beach so sunglass
 es\, hat\, skin protection handy. Could be windy so plan accordingly.\n\n
 —Restrooms are available but it is still a good idea to bring tissue in 
 a plastic bag in case of a bio break need.—If your plans change\, please
  cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so ot
 her walkers may join.\n\nWalk may be canceled\, changed or rescheduled for
  weather or other reasons. Cancellation decision will be made at least 2 h
 ours in advance. **Check your email (including spam) before driving to the
  walk.**\n\nIf walk is canceled\, registrants will receive a system genera
 ted email and the walk will no longer be visible in the event listing or o
 n the calendar.\n\nDIRECTIONS: 385 Hardings Beach Rd. Off Barn Hill Rd. in
  Chatham. Plenty of parking- meet at first lot upon entering beach. Park o
 n left side facing beach.
