DESCRIPTION:Spruce Hill is a beautiful wooded trail that leads to the Brews
 ter flats. We'll walk the flats to Namskaket Creek. Namskaket Creek separa
 tes Brewster from Orleans.\n\nMeet at 12:45PM to sign in and stretch. We
 ’ll begin walking promptly at 1:00PM. Hosted by Leslie Kalinowski with S
 weep Mike Kalinowski. Please read to the bottom for directions to our meet
 ing point.\n—Prerequisite: Completed Instructional clinic. Ability to wa
 lk 3+ miles at moderate pace\, over varied terrain including woods\, sand\
 , (firm and soft.) 2 lower sand dunes.\n—Distance: 3.4-3.5 miles. Tide d
 ependent. No turn-back or shorter option.\n—Pace: Moderate approx 20-25 
 minute miles.\n—Terrain: Woods some exposed roots\, some cobble stone\, 
 sand\, firm and soft. Note: We will be crossing over 2 lower sand dunes\, 
 then walking behind the sand dunes on hard packed sand/dirt and approx 1/4
  mile soft sand.\n\nFor Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when ma
 king your RSVP decision. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In considerat
 ion of personal and group safety\, if you arrive without water\, you will 
 not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weather and choose appropriate footw
 ear for trail conditions. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks\, w
 hich are active year-round.\n—Limit 1 walk per day\n—Wear your CCNW ID
  badge.\n— Carbide tips initially (for the woods) then rubber tips for t
 he beach are recommended—Restrooms and water are not available. Bring ti
 ssue in a plastic bag in the event of a bio break need.—If your plans ch
 ange please cancel your booking at lease 24hr in advance of the walk.  Th
 is allows the Host to plan and accommodate other walkers.\n\nWalk may be c
 anceled\, changed\, or rescheduled for weather or other reasons. Cancellat
 ion decision will be made at least 2 hours in advance. **Check your email 
 (including spam) AND this walk listing before driving to the walk. ** If 
 a walk is canceled\, registrants will receive a system-generated email\, a
 nd the walk will no longer be visible in the event listing or on the calen
 dar.\n\nDirections: Spruce Hill Conservation Area is 3171 Main Street (Ro
 ute 6A) in Brewster.  Driving route 6A from Dennis\, Spruce Hill is on th
 e left after CAPE COD SEA CAMPS (whose address is 3057 Main Street). Driv
 ing on 6A\, from Orleans\, Cobies restuarant\, (closed for the season will
  be on the left)\, Spruce Hill will be on the right. The Driveway to Spruc
 e Hill Conservation Area is not marked. Parking and the trailhead for the 
 area is at the top of the driveway of this vacant\, white/green shutters\,
 cape styled house pictured below. Please give yourself a little extra time
  if you havent traveled here before. Please park tight.The lot is small.
