DESCRIPTION:Join us for a walk in this restored 66 acre preserve in Harwich
 . We will walk the trail along the perimeter of the preserve including 2 a
 dditional loops into the woods.   We will then cross 3 wooden bridges an
 d circle around 4 ponds. We will experience wonderful views of Cold Brook 
 flowing freely and appreciate the amazing wildlife.\n\nMeet at 8:45 am for
  sign-in and stretching to begin walking promptly at 9:00 am. Hosted by Ro
 semary DeVito with sweep TBD.\n\nPrerequisite: Instructional clinic\, plus
  the ability to walk on uneven terrain for the prescribed distance and pac
 e\n\nDistance: 3.8 miles. No turn-back or shorter option.\n\nPace: Moderat
 e\, 21/22-min miles. Brief water stops\n\nTerrain: A combination of wide p
 aths with some mulched areas\, some hard pack roads\, short section of pav
 ed trail\, some roots. Rubber tips are required.\n\nFor Your Safety: Consi
 der the weather forecast when booking a walk. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL
  WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety\, if you arrive with
 out water\, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weather and pro
 tect yourself from the elements. Choose appropriate footwear for trail con
 ditions. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks\, which are active y
 ear-round.\n\n 	Limit 1 walk per day to give others the chance to walk.\n 
 	Wear your CCNW ID badge.\n 	Carry bug spray.\n 	No water or restrooms are
  available. Bring tissue in a plastic bag for a bio break.\n 	If your plan
 s change\, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk
  start time. This will allow other walkers to sign-up.\n\nWalk may be canc
 elled\, changed\, or rescheduled for weather or other reasons. Cancellatio
 n decision will be made at least 2 hours in advance. *Check your email (in
 cluding spam) before driving to the walk.*  If a walk is canceled\, regis
 trants will receive a system-generated email\, and the walk will no longer
  be visible in the event listing or on the calendar.\n\nDirections:  Robe
 rt F. Smith Cold Brook Preserve\, 203 Bank Street\, Harwich\, MA.\n\nFrom 
 Rt. 39: take Bank Street 0.5 miles south to the restored firehouse and Pre
 serve parking area on the left at #203 Bank Street.
