We'll cross the bridge and circumnavigate the island\, passin g the marsh and Loagy Bay\, walking the beaches adjoining Wellfleet Harbor and Cape Cod Bay\, then going inland along quiet streets before crossing back over the bridge to panoramic views of the bay.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\ n\n \;\n\nMeet at 8:45 AM to sign in and stretch. Plea se read to the bottom for directions to our meeting point.\n\n—Prerequis ite: Instructional Clinic and the ability to walk 3.6 miles at a moderate pace over varied terrain including packed and loose sand.\n—Distance: 3. 6 miles. No turn-back or shorter option.\n—Pace: Moderate and steady wit h a few view and rest stops.\n—Terrain: blacktop\, marsh trail (possibly wet)\, and a combination of packed and loose sand.\n\nFor Your Safety: Co nsider the weather forecast when booking a walk. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety\, if you arrive w ithout water\, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weather and protect yourself from the elements. Choose appropriate footwear for trail conditions. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks\, which are activ e year-round. Wear blaze orange for safety as it is turkey hunting season. \n\n—Limit 1 walk per day.\n\n—Wear your CCNW ID badge.\n—Rubber tip s and bug spray suggested\n—Restrooms and water are not available. Bring tissue in a plastic bag in case of a bio break need.\n—If your plans ch ange\, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk sta rt time so other walkers may join.\n\nWalk may be canceled\, changed\, or rescheduled for weather or other reasons. Look for the wide dirt parking area on the left before you reach the causeway.
