DESCRIPTION:Enjoy a walk along this Cape Cod Bay beach with its panoramic v
 iews of Provincetown before crossing a small dune into a pine/oak forest t
 hat leads to the historic Atwood-Higgins &amp\; Baker-Biddle homes and str
 uctures that are an integral part of the history of Bound Brook.\n\nMeet a
 t 9:15 for sign-in and stretching to begin walking promptly at 9:30. Hoste
 d by Ellie Devlin\, with Sweep TBD.\n\nPrerequisite: Instructional Clinic 
 and prior CCNW events of 3+ miles on varied terrain\n\nDistance: 3.5-4 mil
 es. No turn-back or shorter option.\n\nPace: Moderate with breaks to view 
 historical locations\n\nTerrain:  1/2-3/4 mi on the beach with some limit
 ed soft sand\, hard packed dirt\, forested trails\, and several small dune
  crossings.\n\nFor Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when booking
  a walk. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal 
 and group safety\, if you arrive without water\, you will not be allowed t
 o walk. Dress for the weather and protect yourself from the elements. Choo
 se appropriate footwear for trail conditions. Use repellent to protect you
 rself from ticks\, which are active year-round. Wear blaze orange for visi
 bility &amp\; safety during hunting season.\n\n 	Limit 1 walk per day.\n 	
 Wear your CCNW ID badge.\n 	Sand baskets are helpful for dune crossings.\n
  	Restrooms and water are not available. Bring tissue in a plastic bag in 
 case of a bio break need.\n 	If your plans change\, kindly cancel your boo
 king at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walkers may 
 join.\n\nThis walk is authorized under a National Park Service Special Use
  Permit.\n\nWalk may be canceled\, changed\, or rescheduled for weather or
  other reasons. Cancellation decision will be made at least 2 hours in adv
 ance. Check your email (including spam) before driving to the walk. If a w
 alk is canceled\, registrants will receive a system-generated email and th
 e walk will no longer be visible in the event listing or on the calendar.\
 n\nDirections: Meet at Duck Harbor Beach (on the bay side of Wellfleet). T
 ravel Rt. 6 to Wellfleet Center exit. Follow Chequessett Neck Road to Grif
 fin Island Road (which is right across from the entrance to Great Island T
 railhead). Duck Harbor Beach is at the end of Griffin Island Road. Allow e
 xtra travel time for limited road construction along route 6 &amp\; on Che
 quessett Neck Rd at the Herring River bridge in Wellfleet.\n\n&nbsp\;
