SUMMARY:INTERMEDIATE\, Bells Neck\, Harwich\, 4.0 miles\, (Sunday)
DESCRIPTION:Join me on this "City to Country" walk! We will walk through a 
 quiet neighborhood along the Herring River\, past lots of trees and an old
  cemetery and then to the fish ladder and around the West Reservoir with m
 any water views.\n\nMeet at 8:15 a.m. to sign in and stretch.  We’ll be
 gin walking promptly at 8:30 a.m. Hosted by Rosemary DeVito with TBD Sweep
 .  Please read to the bottom for directions to our meeting point.\n\n—P
 rerequisite: Instructional Clinic\; plus the ability to walk on uneven ter
 rain for the prescribed distance and pace\n—Distance: 3.5 miles. No turn
 -back or shorter option.\n—Pace: Moderate\n—Terrain: A combination of 
 well-worn paths (with roots\, rocks\, hills)\, and asphalt roads.  Rubber
  tips recommended.\n\nFor Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when 
 booking a walk. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of pe
 rsonal and group safety\, if you arrive without water\, you will not be al
 lowed to walk. Dress for the weather and protect yourself from the element
 s. Choose appropriate footwear for trail conditions. Use repellent to prot
 ect yourself from ticks\, which are active year-round. Wear blaze orange f
 or visibility and safety during hunting season (starting October 6).\n\n
 —Limit 1 walk per day.\n—Wear your CCNW ID badge.\n—Restrooms and wa
 ter are not available. Bring tissue in a plastic bag in case of a bio brea
 k need.\n—If your plans change\, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 
 hours in advance of walk start time so other walkers may join.\n\nWalk may
  be canceled\, changed\, or rescheduled for weather or other reasons. Canc
 ellation decision will be made at least 2 hours in advance. **Check your e
 mail (including spam) AND this walk listing before driving to the walk. *

 calendar.\n\nDirections/Location:  Meet at the East Trailhead Parking Are
 a next to the trail kiosk.\n\nFrom Great Western Road\, take Bell’s Neck
  Road (dirt) south.\n\nDrive 0.20 mile and on the left will be a small tra
 ilhead kiosk and parking area.
