DESCRIPTION:Join me on this "City to Forest" walk! We will walk through a q
 uiet neighborhood along the Herring River\, past lots of trees and an old 
 cemetery and then to the fish ladder and around the West Reservoir with ma
 ny water views.\n\nMeet at 8:45 a.m. to sign in and stretch.  We’ll beg
 in walking promptly at 9:00 a.m. Hosted by Rosemary DeVito with TBD Sweep.
   Please read to the bottom for directions to our meeting point.\n\n—Pr
 erequisite: Instructional Clinic\; plus the ability to walk on uneven terr
 ain for the prescribed distance and pace\n—Distance: 3.8 miles. No turn-
 back or shorter option.\n—Pace: Moderate\n—Terrain: A combination of w
 ell-worn paths (with roots\, rocks\, hills)\, and asphalt roads.  Rubber 
 tips recommended.\n\nFor Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when b
 ooking a walk. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of per
 sonal and group safety\, if you arrive without water\, you will not be all
 owed to walk. Dress for the weather and protect yourself from the elements
 . Choose appropriate footwear for trail conditions. Use repellent to prote
 ct yourself from ticks\, which are active year-round. Wear blaze orange fo
 r visibility and safety during Spring turkey hunting season.\n\n—Limit 1
  walk per day.\n—Wear your CCNW ID badge.\n—Restrooms and water are no
 t available. Bring tissue in a plastic bag in case of a bio break need.\n
 —If your plans change\, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in 
 advance of walk start time so other walkers may join.\n\nWalk may be cance
 led\, changed\, or rescheduled for weather or other reasons. Cancellation 
 decision will be made at least 2 hours in advance. **Check your email (inc
 luding spam) AND this walk listing before driving to the walk. ** If a wa
 lk is canceled\, registrants will receive a system-generated email\, and t
 he walk will no longer be visible in the event listing or on the calendar.
 \n\nDirections/Location:  Meet at the East Trailhead Parking Area next to
  the trail kiosk.\n\nFrom Great Western Road\, take Bell’s Neck Road (di
 rt) south.\n\nDrive 0.20 mile and on the left will be a small trailhead ki
 osk and parking area.
