DESCRIPTION:So many route options in the Punkhorn Parklands! Check out this
  one from Eagle Point to Long Pond\, with views of Seymour Pond and the hi
 storic Cahoon Canal along the way. We’ll travel on wide cartways that su
 pport Nordic technique\, allow us to walk side-by-side and chat\, and redu
 ce exposure to ticks.\nMeet at 8:15 am to sign-in and stretch. We’ll beg
 in walking promptly at 8:40. Hosted by Sue Moynihan with Sweep TBD. Read t
 o the bottom for directions to our meeting point. \nPrerequisite: Instruc
 tional clinic\, prior intermediate-level walks\, and ability to meet the d
 istance and pace over uneven terrain.\nDistance: 4.6 miles. No shorter or 
 turn-back option.\nPace: 21/22-min miles. Moderate and steady\, with occas
 ional\, brief stops\nTerrain: Mostly gravel/sand cartways\, with some hill
 s\, rocks\, and roots.\nFor Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast whe
 n booking a walk. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of 
 personal and group safety\, if you arrive without water\, you will not be 
 allowed to walk. Dress for the weather and protect yourself from the eleme
 nts. Choose appropriate footwear for trail conditions. Use repellent to pr
 otect yourself from ticks\, which are active year-round.\n\n\n 	Limit 1 wa
 lk per day\n 	Wear your CCNW ID badge.\n 	No restrooms or water. Bring tis
 sue in a plastic bag in case of a bio break need.\n 	Carry bug spray.\n 	C
 onsider sun protection.\n 	Carbide tips recommended.\n 	If your plans chan
 ge\, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk start
  time so other walkers may join.\n\nWalk may be canceled\, changed\, or re
 scheduled for weather or other reasons. Cancellation decision will be made
  at least 2 hours in advance. **Check your email (including spam) and this

 lk is canceled\, registrants will receive a system-generated email\, and t

  \nDirections: Take Stony Brook Road in Brewster to Run Hill Road. Pass th
 e transfer station and continue on the narrow road. The trailhead is locat
 ed on the left immediately after the road turns to gravel. 686 Run Hill Ro
 ad is the closest street address to the parking lot.
