DESCRIPTION:Celebrate May’s start with the perfect Provincetown mashup: o
 ld growth woods\, dunes\, ponds\, bogs\, poetry\, and—fingers crossed—
 maybe we’ll spot some whales and warblers!\nMeet at 9:15 am for sign-in 
 and stretching to begin walking promptly at 9:30. Hosted by Sue Moynihan w
 ith Sweep TBD. \nPrerequisite: Instructional Clinic and prior CCNW walks o
 f 3+ miles at a moderate pace over uneven terrain with elevation gain.\nDi
 stance: ~4.5 miles. No shorter or turn-back option.\nPace: Moderate on the
  hard pack\, faster on the asphalt\, with only occasional stops.\nTerrain:
  1 mile hard pack with some sand\, steep steps without railings\, roots\, 
 and boardwalk. ~3.5 miles paved bike path\, with 1.5-mile incline.\nFor Yo
 ur Safety: Consider the weather forecast when booking a walk. WATER MUST B
 E CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety\, if
  you arrive without water\, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the
  weather and protect yourself from the elements. Choose appropriate footwe
 ar for trail conditions. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks\, wh
 ich are active year-round. ** Spring turkey season. Display blaze orange f
 or visibility and safety.**\n\n\n 	Limit 1 walk per day.\n 	Wear your CCNW
  ID badge.\n 	Open\, exposed route. Sun protection recommended.\n 	Restroo
 m available at halfway point. Bring tissue in a plastic bag in case of a b
 io break need.\n 	If your plans change\, kindly cancel your booking at lea
 st 24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walkers may join.\n\nTh
 is walk is authorized under a National Park Service Special Use Permit.\nW
 alk may be canceled\, changed\, or rescheduled for weather or other reason
 s. Cancellation decision will be made at least 2 hours in advance. **Check

 rest Trailhead\, Provincetown. Route 6 to Provincetown. Turn onto Race Poi
 nt Road and follow it into the national seashore\, past the Province Lands
  sign. Turn left into the Beech Forest parking lot. *Allow extra travel ti
 me for Rt 6 construction in Wellfleet.*
