DESCRIPTION:Join us for a peaceful yet invigorating walk through the woods 
 from Baker’s Pond to Nickerson. We'll detour off our usual route\, takin
 g side trails and dirt roads towards Higgins Pond\, where we will navigate
  the scenic trails around Higgins and Eel Ponds before returning via the B
 aker's blue trail.\n\nMeet at 8:45 AM to sign in and stretch. We’ll begi
 n walking promptly at 9:00 AM. Hosted by Dorrie Scipione Ross with Sweep T
 BD. Please read to the bottom for directions to our meeting point.\n\n\n
 —Prerequisite: Instructional Clinic and the ability to walk 4.5 miles on
  varied terrain\, including hills\n—Distance: ~4.6 miles. No turn-back o
 r shorter option.\n—Pace: Moderate and steady\, slower on tricky spots\n
 —Terrain: A mix of uneven dirt roads and hard pack\, often narrow trails
  with roots\, rocks and pinecones. One section of former paved road where 
 rubber tips will be helpful. A number of hills and inclines.\n\nFor Your S
 afety: Consider the weather forecast when booking a walk. WATER MUST BE CA
 RRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety\, if you
  arrive without water\, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the wea
 ther and protect yourself from the elements. Choose appropriate footwear f
 or trail conditions. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks\, which 
 are active year-round.\n\n—Limit 1 walk per day.\n—Wear your CCNW ID b
 adge.\n—Carbide tips recommended\, rubber tips optional for a section of
  formerly paved road.\n—Restrooms and water are not available. Bring tis
 sue in a plastic bag in case of a bio break need.\n—If your plans change
 \, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk start t
 ime so other walkers may join.\nWalk may be canceled\, changed\, or resche
 duled for weather or other reasons. Cancellation decision will be made at 
 least 2 hours in advance. **Check your email (including spam) AND this wal
 k listing before driving to the walk. ** If a walk is canceled\, registra
 nts will receive a system-generated email\, and the walk will no longer be
  visible in the event listing or on the calendar.\nDirections: Route 6 to 
 Exit 89\; turn left from 6A onto Baker’s Pond Road (or turn right if com
 ing from Brewster) and continue approximately .6 miles to the parking lot 
 entrance on the right side of the road. The closest mailbox is 85 Baker’
 s Pond Road\, across the street from the Baker’s Pond parking lot.\n\n&n
