We'll detour off our usual route\, takin g side trails and dirt roads towards Higgins Pond\, where we will navigate the scenic trails around Higgins and Eel Ponds before returning to Baker ’s.\n\nMeet at 8:45 AM to sign in and stretch. We’ll begin walking pro mptly at 9:00 AM. Hosted by Dorrie Scipione Ross with Sweep TBD. Please re ad to the bottom for directions to our meeting point.\n\n\n—Prerequisite : Instructional Clinic and the ability to walk 4.5 miles on varied terrain \, including hills\n—Distance: ~4.5 miles. No turn-back or shorter optio n.\n—Pace: Moderate and steady\n—Terrain: A mix of uneven dirt roads a nd hard pack\, often narrow trails with roots\, rocks and pinecones. A num ber of hills and inclines.\n\nFor Your Safety: Consider the weather foreca st when booking a walk. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In considerati on of personal and group safety\, if you arrive without water\, you will n ot be allowed to walk. Dress for the weather and protect yourself from the elements. Choose appropriate footwear for trail conditions. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks\, which are active year-round.\n\n—Limit 1 walk per day.\n—Wear your CCNW ID badge.\n—Carbide tips and bug spr ay recommended\n—Restrooms and water are not available. Bring tissue in a plastic bag in case of a bio break need.\n—If your plans change\, kind ly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walkers may join.\nWalk may be canceled\, changed\, or rescheduled f or weather or other reasons.
