We will do what I call the longer loo p\nMeet at 9:45 AM for sign-in and stretching to begin walking promptly at 10:00 AM. No turn-back or shorter opti on.\n\n—Pace: Slow to moderate with occasional stops for water and to en joy the scenery.\n\n—Terrain: Hard-packed dirt with many exposed roots\, brush and rocks\; short stretch of sand.\n\nFor Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when booking a walk.   WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WA LKS! In consideration of personal and group safety\, if you arrive without water\, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weather and protec t yourself from the elements. If a walk is canceled\, registrants will receive a system-gene rated email and the walk will no longer be visible in the event listing or on the calendar.\n\nDirections: The parking lot is on Main Street in Sout h Dennis next to the Old South Dennis Cemetery at 485 Main Street\, South Dennis\, MA 02660. There is a small brown sign at the entrance to the park ing lot that says Dennis Municipal Parking. There is also a sign for the R ail Trail in the parking lot (hard to see from the street) and we will mee t near this sign. Do not put the Dennis Rail Trail into your GPS because i t often brings you to a location on Rte. 134 - we are NOT on Rte 134.\n\nE ven if you put 485 Main Street South Dennis into GPS it often brings you t o the wrong place\, even different towns. If you are having problems googl e Red Cottage Restaurant. They are on Old Bass River Rd in South Dennis. E xit their parking lot and take a left and go .3 miles and parking lot will be on your right.
