We will do what I call the longer loo p\nMeet at 9:45AM for sign-in and stretching to begin walking promptly at 10AM. No turn-back or shorter option.\n \n—Pace: Slow to moderate with occasional stops for water and to enjoy t he scenery.\n\n—Terrain: Hard-packed dirt with many exposed roots\, brus h and rocks\; short stretch of sand.\n\nFor Your Safety: Consider the weat her forecast when booking a walk.   WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety\, if you arrive without wate r\, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weather and protect you rself from the elements. Choose appropriate footwear for trail conditions. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks\, which are active year-roun d.\n\n—Limit 1 walk per day\n\n—Wear your CCNW ID badge.\n\n—Porta p otty is available and water is not available. Bring tissue in a plastic ba g for a bio break.\n\n—If your plans change\, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walkers may join .\n\nWalk may be cancelled\, changed or rescheduled for weather or other r easons. If a walk is c anceled\, registrants will receive a system-generated email and the walk w ill no longer be visible in the event listing or on the calendar.\n\nDirec tions: The parking lot is on Main Street in South Dennis next to the Old S outh Dennis Cemetery at 485 Main Street\, South Dennis\, MA 02660. There i s a small brown sign at the entrance to the parking lot that says Dennis M unicipal Parking. There is also a sign for the Rail Trail in the parking l ot (hard to see from the street) and we will meet near this sign. Do not p ut the Dennis Rail Trail into your GPS because it often brings you to a lo cation on Rte. 134 - we are NOT on Rte 134.\n\nEven if you put 485 Main St reet South Dennis into GPS it often brings you to the wrong place\, even d ifferent towns. If you are having problems google Red Cottage Restaurant. They are on Old Bass River Rd in South Dennis. Exit their parking lot and take a left and go .3 miles and parking lot will be on your right.
