We will do what I call the longer loo p\nMeet at 9:45 AM for sign-in and stretching to begin walking promptly at 10:00 AM. No turn-back or shorter opti on.\n\n—Pace: Slow to moderate with occasional stops for water and to en joy the scenery.\n\n—Terrain: Hard-packed dirt with many exposed roots\, brush and rocks\; short stretch of sand.\n\nFor Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when booking a walk.   WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WA LKS! In consideration of personal and group safety\, if you arrive without water\, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weather and protec t yourself from the elements. Choose appropriate footwear for trail condit ions. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks\, which are active year -round.\n\n—Limit 1 walk per day\n\n—Wear your CCNW ID badge.\n\n—Po rta potty is NOT available and water is not available. Bring tissue in a p lastic bag for a bio break.\n\n—If your plans change\, kindly cancel you r booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walkers may join.\n\nWalk may be cancelled\, changed or rescheduled for weather o r other reasons. Cancellation decision will be made at least 2 hours in ad vance. Check your email (including spam) before driving to the walk. If a walk is canceled\, registrants will receive a system-generated email and t he walk will no longer be visible in the event listing or on the calendar. \n\nDirections: The parking lot is on Main Street in South Dennis next to the Old South Dennis Cemetery at 485 Main Street\, South Dennis\, MA 02660 . There is a small brown sign at the entrance to the parking lot that says Dennis Municipal Parking. There is also a sign for the Rail Trail in the parking lot (hard to see from the street) and we will meet near this sign. Do not put the Dennis Rail Trail into your GPS because it often brings yo u to a location on Rte. 134 - we are NOT on Rte 134.\n\nEven if you put 48 5 Main Street South Dennis into GPS it often brings you to the wrong place \, even different towns. If you are having problems google Red Cottage Res taurant. They are on Old Bass River Rd in South Dennis. Exit their parking lot and take a left and go .3 miles and parking lot will be on your right .
