We will do w hat I call the 'short' loop.\nMeet at 10:15 AM for sign-in and stretching to begin walking promptly at 10:30 AM. N o turn-back or shorter option.\n\n—Pace: Slow to moderate with occasiona l stops for water and to enjoy the scenery.\n\n—Terrain: Hard-packed dir t with many exposed roots\, brush and rocks\; short stretch of sand.\n\nFo r Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when booking a walk.   WATE R MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group saf ety\, if you arrive without water\, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weather and protect yourself from the elements. Choose appropriat e footwear for trail conditions. Use repellent to protect yourself from ti cks\, which are active year-round.\n\n—Limit 1 walk per day\n\n—Wear y our CCNW ID badge.\n\n—Porta potty is NOT available and water is not ava ilable. Bring tissue in a plastic bag for a bio break.\n\n—If your plans change\, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walkers may join.\n\nWalk may be cancelled\, changed o r rescheduled for weather or other reasons. Cancellation decision will be made at least 2 hours in advance. Check your email (including spam) before driving to the walk. If a walk is canceled\, registrants will receive a s ystem-generated email and the walk will no longer be visible in the event listing or on the calendar.\n\nDirections: The parking lot is on Main Stre et in South Dennis next to the Old South Dennis Cemetery at 485 Main Stree t\, South Dennis\, MA 02660. There is a small brown sign at the entrance t o the parking lot that says Dennis Municipal Parking. There is also a sign for the Rail Trail in the parking lot (hard to see from the street) and w e will meet near this sign. Do not put the Dennis Rail Trail into your GPS because it often brings you to a location on Rte. 134 - we are NOT on Rte 134.\n\nEven if you put 485 Main Street South Dennis into GPS it often br ings you to the wrong place\, even different towns. If you are having prob lems google Red Cottage Restaurant. They are on Old Bass River Rd in South Dennis. Exit their parking lot and take a left and go .3 miles and parkin g lot will be on your right.
