We will do what I call the longer loo p\nMeet at 4:00PM for sign-in and stretching to begin walking promptly at 4:15PM. No turn-back or shorter option. \n\n—Pace: Slow to moderate with occasional stops for water and to enjoy the scenery.\n\n—Terrain: Hard-packed dirt with many exposed roots\, br ush and rocks\; short stretch of sand.\n\nFor Your Safety: Consider the we ather forecast when booking a walk.   WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS ! In consideration of personal and group safety\, if you arrive without wa ter\, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weather and protect y ourself from the elements. Choose appropriate footwear for trail condition s. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks\, which are active year-ro und.\n\n—Limit 1 walk per day\n\n—Wear your CCNW ID badge.\n\n—Porta potty is available and water is not available. Bring tissue in a plastic bag for a bio break.\n\n—If your plans change\, kindly cancel your booki ng at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walkers may jo in.\n\nWalk may be cancelled\, changed or rescheduled for weather or other reasons. Cancellation decision will be made at least 2 hours in advance. Check your email (including spam) before driving to the walk. If a walk is canceled\, registrants will receive a system-generated email and the walk will no longer be visible in the event listing or on the calendar.\n\nDir ections: The parking lot is on Main Street in South Dennis next to the Old South Dennis Cemetery at 485 Main Street\, South Dennis\, MA 02660. There is a small brown sign at the entrance to the parking lot that says Dennis Municipal Parking. There is also a sign for the Rail Trail in the parking lot (hard to see from the street) and we will meet near this sign. Do not put the Dennis Rail Trail into your GPS because it often brings you to a location on Rte. 134 - we are NOT on Rte 134.\n\nEven if you put 485 Main Street South Dennis into GPS it often brings you to the wrong place\, even different towns. If you are having problems google Red Cottage Restaurant . They are on Old Bass River Rd in South Dennis. Exit their parking lot an d take a left and go .3 miles and parking lot will be on your right.
