We will do what I call the longer loo p\nMeet at 9:45 AM for sign-in and stretching to begin walking promptly at 10:00 AM. Hosted by Nancy Strianese with Sweep TBD.\n—Prerequisite: Ins tructional clinic.\n\n—Distance: 1.7 miles. No turn-back or shorter opti on.\n\n—Pace: Slow to moderate with occasional stops for water and to en joy the scenery.\n\n—Terrain: Hard-packed dirt with many exposed roots\, brush and rocks\; short stretch of sand.\n\nFor Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when booking a walk.   WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WA LKS! In consideration of personal and group safety\, if you arrive without water\, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weather and protec t yourself from the elements. Choose appropriat footwear for trail conditi ons. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks\, which are active year- round.\n\n—Limit 1 walk per day\n\n—Wear your CCNW ID badge.\n\n—Por ta potty is NOT available and water is not available. Bring tissue in a pl astic bag for a bio break.\n\n—If your plans change\, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walkers may join.\n\nWalk may be cancelled\, changed or rescheduled for weather or other reasons. Cancellation decision will be made at least 2 hours in adv ance. Check your email (including spam) before driving to the walk. If a w alk is canceled\, registrants will receive a system-generated email and th e walk will no longer be visible in the event listing or on the calendar.\ n\nDirections: The parking lot is on Main Street next to the Old South Den nis Cemetery at 485 Main Street\, South Dennis\, MA 02660. There is also a sign for the Rail Trail in the parking lot and we will meet near this sig n. Do not put the Dennis Rail Trail into your GPS because it often brings you to a location on Rte. 134 - we are NOT on Rte 134.\n\nEven if you put 485 Main Street South Dennis into GPS it often brings you to the wrong pla ce\, even different towns. If you are having problems google Red Cottage R estaurant. They are on Old Bass River Rd in South Dennis. Exit their parki ng lot and take a left and go .3 miles and parking lot will be on your rig ht.
