DESCRIPTION:Eagle Pond &amp\; Little River Sanctuary offers a view of a mul
 titude of habitats including upland pine forest\,  pond\, river\, cedar s
 wamp\, maple swamp\, field\, and views of the ocean.\n\nMeet at 8:45 am fo
 r sign up &amp\; stretching to begin walk promptly at 9 am. Hosted by Eile
 en O'Connell with Sweep TBD.\n\nPrerequisite: Instructional Clinic and pri
 or walks of at least 2.5 miles.\n\nDistance: 3.6 miles. No turn- back or s
 horter option.\n\nPace: moderate\n\nTerrain: roots\, rocks\, hills\, sand\
 , pine needles\n\nFor your safety: Consider the weather forecast when book
 ing a walk. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of person
 al and group safety\, if you arrive without water\, you will not be allowe
 d to walk. Dress for the weather and protect yourself from the elements. C
 hoose appropriate footwear for trail conditions. Use repellent to protect 
 yourself from ticks\, which are active year round.\n\n- Limit 1 walk per d
 ay.\n\n- Wear your CCNW ID badge.\n\n- Carbine tips are recommended\n\n- R
 estroom and water are not available. Bring tissue in a plastic bag in case
  of bio break need.\n\n- If your plans change\, kindly cancel your booking
  at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walkers may join
 .\n\nWalk may be cancelled\, changed\, or rescheduled for weather or other
  reasons. Cancellation decision will be made at least 2 hours in advance. 
 Check your email (including spam) before driving to the walk. If a walk is
  canceled\, registrants will receive a system generated email and also the
  walk will no longer be visable in the event listing or on the calendar.\n
 \nDirections: Located on Putnam Ave about 0.5 miles south of the Rt 28 int
 ersection (across from 820 Putnam Ave.\, Cotuit).
