DESCRIPTION:We will wind our way through the woods to a scenic overlook alo
 ng the Monomoy River (Muddy Creek)\, with a lovely view out to Pleasant Ba
 y. This trail was established in 2003 by the Harwich Conservation Trust an
 d the Trust for Public Land to protect the Pleasant Bay estuary and surrou
 nding wildlife habitat.\n\nMeet at 2:45 pm for sign-in and stretching to b
 egin walking promptly at 3 PM. Hosted by Chuck and Becs Koeniger.\n\n—Pr
 erequisite: Instructional Clinic\n—Distance: 1.8 miles. No turn-back or 
 shorter option.\n—Pace: Moderate pace on both flat areas and hills with 
 water stops and points of interest.\n—Terrain: Pine needle covered trail
 s\, some roots and rocks. A mix of flat and moderately hilly areas.\n\n*It
  is turkey hunting season so please wear something blaze orange.\n\nFor Yo
 ur Safety: Consider the weather forecast when booking a walk. WATER MUST B
 E CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety\, if
  you arrive without water\, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the
  weather and protect yourself from the elements. Choose appropriate footwe
 ar for trail conditions. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks\, wh
 ich are active year-round. Wear blaze orange for visibility and safety dur
 ing hunting season.\n\n—Limit 1 walk per day to give others the chance t
 o walk.\n—Wear your CCNW ID badge.\n— Some poison ivy on sides of trai
 ls\, open sun exposure in a short area. Rubber tips or carbides recommende
 d.\n—Restrooms and water are not available. Bring tissue in a plastic ba
 g in case of a bio break need.\n—If your plans change\, kindly cancel yo
 ur booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walker
 s may join.\n\nWalk may be canceled\, changed\, or rescheduled for weather
  or other reasons. Cancellation decision will be made at least 2 hours in 
 advance. Check your email (including spam) before driving to the walk. If 
 a walk is canceled\, registrants will receive a system-generated email and
  the walk will no longer be visible in the event listing or on the calenda
 r.\n\nDirections: From Rt. 39\, take Bay Road one mile east to parking are
 a on the right\, opposite the Blue Heron Landing sign. From Rt. 28\, take 
 Bay Road 0.3 miles west to the parking area on the left\, across the stree
 t from Blue Heron Landing sign.\n\nParking: We are limited to 6 spaces in 
 the lot. Additional cars can park directly across the street in Blue Heron
