SUMMARY:High Beginner\, Bourne Bridge to Railroad Bridge\, Bourne\, 3 miles
 \, Saturday
DESCRIPTION:It's important to meet in the parking lot at 8:15\, because we
need to stretch\, then walk 1.5 miles to the Railroad Bridge\, so we can w
atch it descend at 9:15.  We want to get there before the action starts.
At precisely 9:15 AM\, the railroad bridge comes down\, and a few minutes
later\, the Cape Cod Flyer blows its loud whistle and comes across. After
it has passed\, and the bridge ascends\, we’ll progress along the canal\
, back to the Bourne Bridge\, at a slow to moderate pace with stops for wa
ter and photographs. \n\n Meet at 8:15 AM for introductions\, stretching
and chit-chat in the parking lot. At 8:30 AM\, we’ll begin walking alon
g the canal\, toward the railroad bridge. Once we arrive\, hopefully\, we
’ll have a little time to sip our water\, and admire the view before we
watch the bridge come down and the train chug across. As soon as the bridg
e goes back up\, we’ll  begin walking back. Hosted by Alyson Larrabee\,
with Sweep TBD \n\n—Prerequisite: Instructional Clinic\n\n—Distance:
3 miles. No turn-back or shorter option.\n\n—Pace: Moderate at first. S
low to moderate\, on the way back\, with stops for water and photo ops.\n\

WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety\, if you arrive with

tect yourself from the elements. Choose appropriate footwear for trail con
ditions. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks\, which are active y
ear-round.\n\n —Limit 1 walk per day and 3 bookings per week (Sunday to
Saturday) to give others the chance to walk. If you are already holding 3
bookings for the week of this walk\, please do not sign up.\n\n—Wear yo
ur CCNW ID badge.  \n\n—Bring rubber tips.\n\n—Restrooms and water a
re available at the Bourne Bridge and at the Railroad Bridge. \n\n—If y
our plans change\, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance
of walk start time so other walkers may join.\n\n Walk may be canceled\,
changed\, or rescheduled for weather or other reasons. Cancellation decis
ion will be made at least 2 hours in advance. Check your email (including
spam) before driving to the walk. If a walk is canceled\, registrants will
receive a system-generated email\, and the walk will no longer be visible
in the event listing or on the calendar.\n\n Directions: For GPS\, type
in “Bourne Station”.\n\n From the Outer Cape\, Mid Cape\, etc\, take
Route 6A West (also known as Sandwich Road)  all the way along the canal\
, until 6A goes left and Sandwich Road goes right. Take the right onto San
dwich Road. After the traffic light Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical Scho
