DESCRIPTION:Situated between Great Island and Bound Brook Island\, Duck Har
 bor and the Herring River were once the lifeblood of Wellfleet’s thrivin
 g fishing industry. As we walk from Duck Harbor to Ryder Beach we’ll see
  how the landscape has changed\, enjoy expansive views from Provincetown t
 o the Canal\, then head inland for a short stretch to check out one of Bou
 nd Brook’s most interesting houses. \nMeet at 9:15 for sign-in and stre
 tching to begin walking promptly at 9:30. Hosted by Sue Moynihan with Swee
 p TBD. Read to the bottom for directions to our meeting point. \nPrerequi
 site: Instructional Clinic and ability to meet the distance and pace on ha
 rd-packed sand\nDistance: 3 miles. No shorter or turn-back option.\nPace: 
 Moderate and steady\, with several view stops. 24/25-min miles\, walking a
 s a group.\nTerrain: Hard-packed bayside sand at low tide\nFor Your Safety
 : Consider the weather forecast when making your RSVP decision. WATER MUST
  BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety\, 
 if you arrive without water\, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for t
 he weather and choose appropriate footwear for trail conditions. Use repel
 lent to protect yourself from ticks\, which are active year round.\n\n\n 	
 Limit 1 walk per day.\n 	Wear your CCNW ID badge.\n 	Sand or mud baskets h
 elpful\n 	Carry bug spray. Consider the need for sunglasses\, a hat\, and 
 sunscreen.\n 	No restrooms or water available. Bring tissue in a plastic b
 ag in case of a bio break need.\n 	If your plans change\, kindly cancel yo
 ur booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walker
 s may join.\n\nThis walk is authorized under a National Park Service Speci
 al Use Permit.\nWalk may be canceled\, changed\, or rescheduled for weathe
 r (steady rain or snow\, ice\, or windchill of 19 degrees or lower) or oth
 er reasons. Cancellation decision will be made at least 2 hours in advance
