DESCRIPTION:Fort Hill is a great walk for all walkers with varied terrain. 
 Historic highlights include a restored whaling Captain’s house\, Red Map
 le Swamp boardwalk and meandering paths along panoramic views across marsh
 es to the ocean.\n\nMeet at 9:15 am to sign in and stretch. We’ll begin 
 walking promptly at 9:30 am.  Hosted by Anne Dickson with Sweep TBD. Plea
 se read to the bottom for directions to our meeting point.\n—Prerequisit
 e: Instructional Clinic and 1-2 CCNW walks.\n—Distance: 1.75 mi. Turn ba
 ck at midpoint\, if needed.\n—Pace: slow to moderate based on terrain. R
 est\, water\, and vista stops all along the way.\n—Terrain: packed dirt/
  grass trails\, some roots\, elongated stair area\, few hills and a boardw
 alk.\n\nFor Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when booking a walk
 . WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and gro
 up safety\, if you arrive without water\, you will not be allowed to walk.
  Dress for the weather and protect yourself from the elements. Choose appr
 opriate footwear for trail conditions. Use repellent to protect yourself f
 rom ticks\, which are active year-round.\n\n—Limit 1 walk per day.\n—W
 ear your CCNW ID badge.\n— Bring rubber tips. Note area has sun exposure
 \, some poison ivy on side of wide paths.\n—Restrooms are available. Als
 o\, bring tissue in a plastic bag in case of a bio break need.\n—If your
  plans change\, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance of
  walk start time so other walkers may join.\n\nThis walk is authorized und
 er a National Park Service Special Use Permit.\n\nWalk may be canceled\, c
 hanged\, or rescheduled for weather or other reasons. Cancellation decisio
 n will be made at least 2 hours in advance. **Check your email (including 
 spam) AND this walk listing before driving to the walk. ** If a walk is ca
 nceled\, registrants will receive a system-generated email\, and the walk 
 will no longer be visible in the event listing or on the calendar.\nDIRECT
 IONS: 200 Hemenway Rd. off Rt. 6 in Eastham. DO NOT follow road sides or G
 PS to Fort Hill\nNote: Limited parking along Hemenway Road. Please park co
 mpletely off the road taking note of any ‘No Parking’ signs. The town 
 parking lot at end of Hemenway Rd. is reserved for those who have Eastham 
 beach stickers.
