DESCRIPTION:Lots to love about this walk—an outgoing minus tide (read: pa
 cked sand 😉)\, long views from Provincetown to the Canal and South Shor
 e\, plus a stretch along the old railroad bed to the Pamet Harbor\, with i
 ts many layers of history. Come check it out!  \nMeet at 9:15 am to sign 
 in and stretch. We’ll begin walking promptly at 9:30. Hosted by Sue Moyn
 ihan with Sweep TBD. Read to the bottom for directions to our meeting poin
 t. \nPrerequisite: Instructional clinic and ability to meet the distance a
 nd pace\nDistance: ~3 miles\nPace: Moderate\, 22/23-min miles\, with stops
  every half-mile or so. Fewer stops and longer intervals between stops tha
 n beginner walks.\nTerrain: Flat\, with a combo of sand\, hard-pack trail\
 , soft sand over a dune\, and stairs onto and off the beach\nFor Your Safe
 ty: Consider the weather forecast when making your RSVP decision. WATER MU
 ST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety\
 , if you arrive without water\, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for
  the weather and choose appropriate footwear for trail conditions. Use rep
 ellent to protect yourself from ticks\, which are active year round.\n\n\n
  	Limit 1 walk per day.\n 	Wear your CCNW ID badge.\n 	Sand or mud baskets
  helpful.\n 	Open and exposed route. If cold or windy\, consider wearing s
 unglasses\, a neck gaiter\, and ear protection.\n 	No water or restroom. B
 ring tissue in a plastic bag in case of a bio break need.\n 	Kindly update
  your RSVP at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time if your plans c
 hange. This allows the Host to plan and accommodate other walkers.\n\nWalk
  may be canceled\, changed\, or rescheduled for weather or other reasons. 
 Cancellation decision will be made at least 2 hours in advance. **Check yo
 ur email (including spam) AND this walk listing and comments\, below\, bef
 ore driving to the walk.** If a walk is canceled\, registrants will receiv
 e a system-generated email\, and the walk will no longer be visible in the
  event listing or on the calendar. \nLocation: Great Hollow Beach on Cape 
 Cod Bay\, North Truro\nDirections: Route 6 to North Truro and Great Hollow
  Road. Left off Rt. 6 onto Great Hollow if coming from the mid or Lower Ca
 pe. Right off Rt. 6 if coming from North Truro or PTown. Follow Great Holl
 ow to the parking lot at the end.
