DESCRIPTION:This walk is a beautiful mixture of shaded woodlands with wide 
 pine needled pathways and a sunny cranberry bog with a .6 mile track circl
 ing it. There may be dogs off leash on this trail.\n\nMeet at 9:45 for sig
 n-in and stretching to begin walking promptly at 10:00 Hosted by Nancy Str
 ianese with Sweep TBD.\n\n—Prerequisite: Instructional Clinic\n\n—Dist
 ance: 1.7 miles. No turn-back or shorter option.\n\n—Pace: Slower to Mod
 erate\n\n—Terrain: Mainly flat\, with a few gentile inclines\, hard pack
 ed dirt\, some sand and roots.\n\nFor Your Safety: Consider the weather fo
 recast when booking a walk. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In conside
 ration of personal and group safety\, if you arrive without water\, you wi
 ll not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weather and protect yourself from
  the elements. Choose appropriate footwear for trail conditions. Use repel
 lent to protect yourself from ticks\, which are active year-round. \n\n
 —Limit 1 walk per day.\n\n—Wear your CCNW ID badge.\n\n—Restrooms an
 d water are not available. Bring tissue in a plastic bag in case of a bio 
 break need.\n\n—If your plans change\, kindly cancel your booking at lea
 st 24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walkers may join.\n\nWa
 lk may be canceled\, changed\, or rescheduled for weather or other reasons
 . Cancellation decision will be made at least 2 hours in advance. Check yo
 ur email (including spam) before driving to the walk. If a walk is cancele
 d\, registrants will receive a system-generated email and the walk will no
  longer be visible in the event listing or on the calendar.\n\nDirections:
  meet at Sand Pond WOODLANDS parking lot (not to be confused with Sand Pon
 d beach parking lot about 1/4 mile up the road) 114 Great Western Rd. Harw
 ich. From the intersection of Route 124 and Main Street in Harwich Center 
 drive approximately 2.3 miles west towards Dennis. Watch for the semicircu
 lar parking lot with split rail fence on the right (can be easy to miss).
   If you come to a black mailbox with 100 on it\, you have just passed it
 . Coming from Dennis take Great Western\, go .3 miles past the intersectio
 n of Depot Street and you will see a black mailbox on the left with 100 on
  it. Look for the entrance of the parking lot just past it. There is a blu
 e fire hydrant at the parking lot.
