DESCRIPTION:Join us for an afternoon hike at this favorite beginner trail. 
 Enjoy the fabulous views of the Nauset Marsh and the ocean beyond\, as we 
 hike Fort Hill and the Red Maple Swamp Trail.\n\nMeet at 1 PM for sign-in 
 and stretching to begin walking promptly at 1:15 Hosted by Bernadette Lyon
 s with sweep Ginny Hewitt.\n\n—Prerequisite: Instructional Clinic and th
 e ability to walk 2 miles\n\n—Distance: 1.8 miles with an optional faste
 r second loop for a total of 3.6 miles. No turn-back or shorter option.\n\
 n—Pace: Slow to moderate pace for our first loop\; faster for the second
  loop.\n\n—Terrain: hard-packed dirt path with roots\, steps\, elevation
  gain\, and some asphalt. Rubber tips for the boardwalk.\n\nFor Your Safet
 y: Consider the weather forecast when booking a walk. WATER MUST BE CARRIE
 D ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety\, if you arr
 ive without water\, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weather
  and protect yourself from the elements. Choose appropriate footwear for t
 rail conditions. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks\, which are 
 active year-round.\n\n—Limit 1 walk per day.\n\n—Wear your CCNW ID bad
 ge.\n\n 	—Restrooms are available.\n\n—If your plans change\, kindly c
 ancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so othe
 r walkers may join.\n\nThis walk is authorized under a National Park Servi
 ce Special Use Permit\n\nWalk may be canceled\, changed\, or rescheduled f
 or weather or other reasons. Cancellation decision will be made at least 2
  hours in advance. Check your email (including spam) before driving to the
  walk. If a walk is canceled\, registrants will receive a system-generated
  email and the walk will no longer be visible in the event listing or on t
