DESCRIPTION:Fort Hill is a great first walk after Instructional Clinic and 
 beginner level walkers. This area is exceptional in beauty as well as diff
 erent terrains in an under 2 mile walk.\nMeet at 10:15 for sign-in and str
 etching to begin walking promptly at 10:30am. Hosted by Nancy Strianese wi
 th Sweep TBD.\n\n*Prerequisite: Instructional Clinic\n\n*Distance: 1.75 mi
 les.  No turn-back or shorter option.\n\n*Pace: Slow\,  with rest\, wate
 r and vista drops along the way.\n\n*Terrain: hard packed dirt/grass trail
 s\, some roots\, elongated stairs\, a boardwalk and a few hilly inclines.\
 n\nFor Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when booking a walk. WAT
 ER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group sa
 fety\, if you arrive without water\, you will not be allowed to walk. Dres
 s for the weather and protect yourself from the elements. Choose appropria
 te footwear for trail conditions. Use repellent to protect yourself from t
 icks\, which are active year-round. WEAR BLAZE ORANGE FOR VISIBILITY AND S
 AFETY DURING HUNTING SEASON (TURKEY HUNTING SEASON STARTS 4/27).\n\nHistor
 ic highlights include a restored whaling Captain’s house\, Red Maple Swa
 mp Boardwalk\, and panoramic views across the marshes to the ocean.\n\n—
 Limit 1 walk per day.\n\n—Wear your CCNW ID badge.—Bring rubber tips.\
 n\n—Restrooms and water are not available. Bring tissue in a plastic bag
  in case of a bio break need.\n\n—If your plans change\, kindly cancel y
 our booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walke
 rs may join.\n\n—This walk is authorized under a National Park Service S
 pecial Use Permit.\n\nWalk may be canceled\, changed\, or rescheduled for 
 weather or other reasons. Cancellation decision will be made at least 2 ho
 urs in advance. Check your email (including spam) before driving to the wa
 lk. If a walk is canceled\, registrants will receive a system-generated em
 ail and the walk will no longer be visible in the event listing or on the 
 calendar.\n\nDirections: 200 Hemenway Rd.\, off Rt. 6 in Eastham. DO NOT f
 ollow road signs or GPS to Fort Hill.\nPark in lot at end of Henmenway Rd.
