 he forest then out onto hard packed sand for a short bit where we can see 
 the bay then back into the woods. There are options for those who wish to 
 walk longer at the end of this walk on the Bay View Trail.\n\n-Limit 1 wal

 t often brings you to a location on Rte. 134 - we are NOT on Rte 134.\n\nE

  Horse Pond\, Bassetts Pond in West Yarmouth. We will walk along the easte
 rn edge of Sandy Pond and then walk to Horse Pond. We will then walk along
  the northern beach of Horse Pond. We will then head to Bassetts Pond and 
 head for a one mile loop around an active cranberry bog. The return trip w
 ill take us through the Horse Pond Conservation Area and the western edge 
 of Sandy Pond. Wear blaze orange for visibility and safety during hunting 
 season.\n\nMeet at 9:15 AM for sign-in and stretching to begin walking pro

DESCRIPTION:We will start at the back parking lot at Freeman’s Way Fields
  in Brewster and make our way into Nickerson State Park.  We will walk al
 ong multiple trails leading us to Grassy Nook Pond\, Cliff Pond\, and Ruth
  Pond.  This walk will challenge us with several stretches of elevation a
 s we complete the 4.5-mile trail.  We will encounter beautiful\, wooded t
 rails\, pine needles\, shimmering ponds\, and amazing views.  It’s a wh

 e Pond. We will then head to Bassetts Pond and head for a loop around an a
 ctive cranberry bog. Halfway\, we will continue onto a second bog and walk
  around that\, and then finish the loop around the first bog. The return t
 rip will take us through the Horse Pond Conservation Area and the western

 NO inclines and some shaded spots\, plenty of stops\, several benches if n
 eeded. We will do a 0.5 mile loop incorporating the first two of four brid
 ges and great views of the ponds\, returning to close to the parking lot. 
 For those willing and able\, we will turn back the way we came for a 1.0 m
 ile total walk.  No pressure to do the second loop. Great opportunity for
  anyone recovering from an injury or long lay-off from walking to get back
  in the swing.\n\nWe go at a very relaxed pace\, taking frequent breaks to
