DESCRIPTION:Three Ponds and Two Bogs\n\nTHIS IS A FAST PACE WALK!!!\n\nAdva
 nced\, Sandy Pond\, West Yarmouth\, 7.5 miles\, Sunday\n\nEnjoy Sandy Pond
 \, Horse Pond\, Bassetts Pond in West Yarmouth. We will walk along the eas
 tern edge of Sandy Pond and then walk to Horse Pond. We will then walk alo
 ng the northern beach of Horse Pond. We will then head to Bassetts Pond an
 d head for a loop around an active cranberry bog. Halfway\, we will contin
 ue onto a second bog and walk around that\, and then finish the loop aroun
 d the first bog. The return trip will take us through the Horse Pond Conse
 rvation Area and the western edge of Sandy Pond.\n\nMeet at 8:45 AM for si
 gn-in and stretching to begin walking promptly at 9:00 AM. Hosted by Mike 
 Obremski with Sweep Pam Obremski.\n\n— Prerequisite: Instructional Clini
 c plus 2 CCNW walks of 7-8 miles.\n\n— Distance: 7.5 miles. No turn-back
  or shorter option.\n\n— Pace: Fast (21-23 minute miles)\n\n— Terrain:
  Mostly flat with pine needle covered trails. There a couple of inclines a
 nd some brief portions on sand. There are also two street crossings and a 
 small section of pavement. There also some rocks and roots in certain area
 s.\n\nFor Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when booking a walk. 
 WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group
  safety\, if you arrive without water\, you will not be allowed to walk. D
 ress for the weather and protect yourself from the elements. Choose approp
 riate footwear for trail conditions. Use repellent to protect yourself fro
 m ticks\, which are active year-round. Wear blaze orange for visibility an
 d safety during hunting season.\n\n—Limit 1 walk per day (Sunday to Satu
 rday) to give others the chance to walk.\n\n— Wear your CCNW ID badge.\n
 \n— Carbide tips are recommended.\n\n— A portable toilet is available\
 , but no water available at this time. Bring tissue in a plastic bag in ca
 se of a bio break need during the walk.\n\n—If your plans change\, kindl
 y cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so o
 ther walkers may join.\n\nWalk may be canceled\, changed\, or rescheduled 
 for weather or other reasons. Cancellation decision will be made at least 
 2 hours in advance. Check your email (including spam) before driving to th
 e walk. If a walk is canceled\, registrants will receive a system-generate
 d email and the walk will no longer be visible in the event listing or on 
 the calendar.\n\nDirections: 482 Buck Island Road\, West Yarmouth. Take th
 e 2nd left after entering the park just past the softball field. Park in t
 he back behind the seasonal bathrooms and playground.
