DESCRIPTION:Three Ponds and a Bog\n\nTHIS IS A FAST PACE WALK!!!\n\nAdvance
 d\, Sandy Pond\, West Yarmouth\, 5.6 miles\, Tuesday\n\nEnjoy Sandy Pond\,
  Horse Pond\, Bassetts Pond in West Yarmouth. We will walk along the easte
 rn edge of Sandy Pond and then walk to Horse Pond. We will then walk along
  the northern beach of Horse Pond. We will then head to Bassetts Pond and 
 head for a one mile loop around an active cranberry bog. The return trip w
 ill take us through the Horse Pond Conservation Area and the western edge 
 of Sandy Pond. Wear blaze orange for visibility and safety during hunting 
 season.\n\nMeet at 9:15 AM for sign-in and stretching to begin walking pro
 mptly at 9:30 AM. Hosted by Mike Obremski with Sweep Pam Obremski.\n\n— 
 Prerequisite: Instructional Clinic plus 2 CCNW walks of 5-6 miles.\n\n— 
 Distance: 5.6 miles. No turn-back or shorter option.\n\n— Pace: Fast (21
 -23 minute miles)\n\n— Terrain: Mostly flat with pine needle covered tra
 ils. There a couple of inclines and some brief portions on sand. There are
  also two street crossings and a small section of pavement. There also som
 e rocks and roots in certain areas.\n\nFor Your Safety: Consider the weath
 er forecast when booking a walk. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In co
 nsideration of personal and group safety\, if you arrive without water\, y
 ou will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weather and protect yourself
  from the elements. Choose appropriate footwear for trail conditions. Use 
 repellent to protect yourself from ticks\, which are active year-round. We
 ar blaze orange for visibility and safety during hunting season.\n\n—Lim
 it 1 walk per day (Sunday to Saturday) to give others the chance to walk.\
 n\n— Wear your CCNW ID badge.\n\n— Carbide tips are recommended.\n\n
 — A portable toilet is available\, but no water available at this time. 
 Bring tissue in a plastic bag in case of a bio break need during the walk.
 \n\n—If your plans change\, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours
  in advance of walk start time so other walkers may join.\n\nWalk may be c
 anceled\, changed\, or rescheduled for weather or other reasons. Cancellat
 ion decision will be made at least 2 hours in advance. Check your email (i
 ncluding spam) before driving to the walk. If a walk is canceled\, registr
 ants will receive a system-generated email and the walk will no longer be 
 visible in the event listing or on the calendar.\n\nDirections: 482 Buck I
 sland Road\, West Yarmouth. Take the 2nd left after entering the park just
  past the softball field. Park in the back behind the seasonal bathrooms a
 nd playground.
